NDB Troubleshooting
Common NDB Opening Problems
SeeYou Isn't There
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open NDB Files" when trying to open your NDB. When this happens, it is commonly due to SeeYou missing in %%os%%. The typical path of opening your NDB with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your NDB file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
SeeYou Requires Update
Your SeeYou Waypoint File file is incompatible with SeeYou because you might have the wrong version installed. Installing the latest version of SeeYou from Naviter is recommended. This issue mainly occurs when your SeeYou Waypoint File file was created by a newer version of SeeYou than you have on your PC.
Tip: Investigate your NDB file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening NDB files are due to having the incorrect version of SeeYou installed on your computer.
Other NDB File Opening Causes
In the majority of cases, installing the right version of SeeYou will resolve your issue. If you're still experiencing problems opening NDB files, there could be other computer problems. These issues include:
- NDB file references in the Windows Registry are broken
- Corruption of the NDB file description inside the Registry
- Incomplete or bad installation of a software application associated with the NDB format
- Your NDB can't be loaded properly (file corruption)
